Product code

On this page we will explain step by step how you can read and understand the product codes and type numbers of our modules and deck windows. These codes help you quickly recognize which product you have in your hands and what the function and color of the product is.

Meaning of the product code

Subjugate

Where can you find the product code?

There is a white sticker with a barcode on every product. Above this barcode is the type number of the product. This code helps you recognize the right product. The stickers are applied on the back of modules and on the side of cover dramen.

How is the product code structured?

A type number consists of several parts that together provide information about the product. Below we explain this per part.

What does the term 1 and 2 mean by module and cover window?

The numbers 1 and 2 indicate how many touch buttons per flush -mounted box support the cover window or module:

  • 1 = suitable for 1 built -in box and has a single touch control.
  • 2 = suitable for 1 built -in box and has two single touch control.

Both at the modules As with the COLLY BROMS (glass plates) This designation is used, so that you can easily see which parts belong together.

  • Every 1 - touch switch module fits on any cover with 1 indication.
  • Each 2 - touch switch module fits on each cover with 2 indication.
What does the term SR mean with a module or cover window?

SR refers to a type of module, this type of module only fits in a matching cover window that also includes SR. Each SR module fits every cover with SR designation

  • A SR module is a square module.
  • A SR module is a module in color.
  • Each SR module fits on every cover window with SR designation.
  • A cover window with SR has a square recess that fits exactly an SR module.

This standardization makes it easy to choose the right combination, without having to worry about dimensions or shape.

Example cover window with matching modules
  • Position 1. Suitable for 1 - Touch switch module
  • Position 2. Suitable for 2 - Touch switch module
  • Position 3. Suitable for SR - Module

Modules

What do the first letters in the type number mean?

Code: VL-FC -...-
The first letters, such as 'VL' and 'FC', are internal codes. These are not relevant to you as a customer and can be ignored when reading the type number. These are displayed in the following way: VL-FC ...- ..

What does the figure between the first and second line mean?

Code: VL-FC1 ...-
The figure indicates whether the module one (1) or two (2) touch buttons contains.

What do the letters mean immediately after this number?

Code: VL-FC1S ...-
These letters indicate the functionality:

  • S = switch switch
  • D = Dimmer
  • Z = Smart Home
  • B = Puls switch
  • C = 12-24V DC switch
  • IH = Puls Potential Free Switch
  • No letter = on/off switch

Combinations are also possible, such as "SD" (exchange switch + dimmer).
Other letters that are present between the two - have no meaning for you.

What is the difference between a 1-touch and a 2-touch module?

Code: VL-FC1 ...- VL-FC2 ...-
A 1-Touch module has one touch control and is suitable for a cover window with "1" in the type number. A 2-Touch module has two control points and fits in a cover window with "2".

What does the section mean after the second line?

Code: ..-...- 2wp
The number
The number before the letters indicates how many half modules the module covers. Two half modules together form one full module position (or one built -in opening in the mounting frame).

  • 2WP means this module two half modules is great - this is one full module.
  • 1WP means one a few half module Is, you will need two for one frame position.

The letters
The letters after the number give the colour of the module.
The common colors are:

  • Wp or 11 = white
  • BP or 12 = black
  • IP of 15 = Gray
  • AP of 13 = gold

This way you can derive the code exactly whether it is a whole or half module and you immediately know the color of the module.

Does a color code always mean an SR module after the second line?

If there is a color code in the product code (such as 2WP, 2BP, 2IP or 2AP), it is always an SR module. These modules are specially designed for use with the SR recess in the covering windows.

You can recognize the covering windows that are suitable for the SR modules by the type number in which "SR" occurs.

The color code therefore not only indicates the color, but also confirms that it is an SR version, which is only compatible with covering shelves from the same series. These modules are therefore not suitable for decking shelves without SR indication.

What should I look at when the type number of a cover window?

Code: VL-P701/E/E/E-8W
Note the part after the first line. This consists of module codes and ends with a number and a letter that indicate the number of built -in boxes and color.

What does the number P7 that are in front means?

Code: VL-P7 ...-
P7 indicates that it is a cover window.

What do the parts between the first and second lines mean?

Code: VL-P701/E/E/E ..
Each module position is therefore specified separately:

  • 01 = suitable for a single touch button
  • 02 = suitable for a double touch button
  • E = suitable for SR modules

The sloping stripes (/) reflect the distribution per position in the cover window.

Example:
P701/01/02/E means a cover window with three positions:
A single touch control, one double touch control, and one SR module.

What does the figure indicate before the color code?

Code: ...- 8w
This figure indicates for how many half modules can be placed. Two half modules together form one built -in box.

  • 2 = suitable for 1 built -in box
  • 4 = suitable for 2 built -in boxes
  • 6 = Suitable for 3 built -in boxes
  • 8 = Suitable for 4 built -in boxes
  • 10 = Suitable for 5 built -in boxes
What does the last letter of the type number mean?

Code: ...- 8w
The letter indicates the color of the cover window:

  • W = white
  • B = Black
  • A = Gold
  • I = Gray
Why is there "2" with a cover window for 1 built -in box?

Code:...- 2w
Because one built -in box offers space for two half modules. A touch module counts as one module. If you place two half media modules next to each other, you can fill one flush -mounted box. That is why '2' stands for a single cover window.

Older product stickers at covering windows

With some older covering windows, the product code may look different.
An example of this is: C7-SR/SR/C1-15. With this code, each module position is specified separately:

  • C1 = Suitable for a single touch button
  • C2 = Suitable for a double touch button
  • SR = suitable for a square SR module

Each sloping stripe (/) stands for a separate position within the cover window.
In the example above this means: 2 SR modules and 1 single touch position. The color code 15 indicates that it is a gray performance.
Color codes:

  • 11 = white
  • 12 = black
  • 15 = Gray
  • 13 = gold
