What is a cross switch?
Een kruisschakelaar is een schakeling die wordt gebruikt in combinatie met twee wisselschakelaars om één lichtbron vanaf drie of meer locaties te bedienen. Waar wisselschakelaars doorgaans verlichting vanuit twee plekken kunnen aansturen, voegt de kruisschakelaar extra bedieningspunten toe.

De kruisschakelaar wordt tussen de twee wisselschakelaars geplaatst en maakt het mogelijk om de stroomkring van de ene naar de andere schakelaar door te verbinden. Dit zorgt ervoor dat u de verlichting op meerdere plaatsen kunt in- of uitschakelen, bijvoorbeeld in lange gangen, trappenhuizen of grote ruimtes.
