What is a series switch?

Installation on one flush-mounted box

The combination is suitable for mounting on one flush-mounted box. A phase wire, neutral wire, earth wire and two switching wires are required for connection. Each lighting group is connected to its own switching output.

The phase wire only needs to be connected to the combination once. The phase is internally connected to both the series switch and the socket. So you do not have to make a separate phase connection between the two parts.
