The Livolo Remote controls Smart Home can be directly linked to Livolo Smart Home switches and smart wall sockets, without a gateway being needed. This means that you can easily link a light switch or socket to this wireless switch and operate it immediately. Handy if you want to quickly add an extra control point without using the Livolo Home App.

Important exception: this does not work with the Livolo dimmer. Dimmers cannot be linked 1-on-1 without a gateway.

However, do you want more advanced functions, such as setting smart scenes or automation? Then you must add both the remote control and the switch or wall socket to the Livolo Home App.
